Melinda Shoaf was determined that her children would grow up with the best nutritional choices available, and was determined that store bought bread wouldn’t be on the menu. She found out the best way to ensure having a vitamin-rich loaf of bread is to grind the wheat right before it’s baked. Every bread Melinda bakes is made from freshly ground, certified, organic whole-wheat flour. And since all of her bread is made in small batches, it tastes different from the bread you buy from large commercial bakeries. Melinda loves the process of making bread. She says she loves the way dough smells and feels to the touch, and loves the way different types of wheat make different types of flour and dough. She also says with wheat you never know what you’re going to get until you grind it. On Market Day, Melinda starts her grinding and baking process at 3 AM to bring us the freshest, healthiest bread you can eat. Melinda sells out every market day in a few hours, as she currently can make just a limited amount of these wonderful breads and rolls. You owe it to yourself and your family to try her baked goods.
